LIFTING GOD WEIGHTS WILL REQUIRE A GOD DESIRE
If I desire my body to be stronger, I lift weights.
If I desire to know God more, I lift God weights.
To see God in everything requires spiritual weightlifting.
When I stand in the woods and watch a tree peel,
I see God because I desire to see God.
I begin to peel the layers off my heart
as I watch the wind peel the tree.
Fear has many layers; shame, guilt, blame, and rejection.
The layers on my heart are barriers that
need to be lifted from His Presence within me.
*********
WHY?
Why do we say we will pray for somebody and not pray at the moment we say it? People on FB post a comment that says:I will pray for you." When will they pray? When it's convenient or when they are done checking their friend activity or checking their email? I urge you to pray at the moment you say you will pray.
It's nothing to be embarrassed over. Prayer is simply a conversation with someone who loves you and will never leave you or forsake you. Pray when you say you will pray,
JUST DO IT!

The message this morning will be:
"If the Son sets you free you are free indeed."
"Tarry ye in Jerusalem until until you are
endued with power from on high."
"Walking, leaping and praising God!"

Here's a Shout Out to all the folks just getting home from clubbin' -

Do you see homeless on a city street?

Go do something nice for somebody.

Jesus - The Dust Remover
When he stooped down to wash people's feet, Jesus used water to remove dust. Another time he used water (his spit) to combine with dust to plaster a blind man's eyes and then he was told to go remove the mud and wash in the Pool of Siloam (sent.) The guy who once was blind could now see. In the beginning God separated the waters from the dry land. When we are born, we are separated from our mother's water (it breaks.) There seems to be a pattern of separation from earthly dust in preparation for being sent spiritually. God's creation is a classroom that leads to a spiritual graduation.
The following is from John 3:5-6 in The Message: 5-6Jesus said, "You're not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the 'wind-hovering-over-the-water'
creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new
life—it's not possible to enter God's kingdom. When you look at a baby,
it's just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who
takes shape within is formed by something you can't see and touch—the
Spirit—and becomes a living spirit."

You've worn me out!
I'm sick of your religion, religion, religion,
while you go right on sinning.
When you put on your next prayer-performance,
I'll be looking the other way.
No matter how long or loud or often you pray,
I'll not be listening.
And do you know why? Because you've been tearing
people to pieces, and your hands are bloody.
Go home and wash up.
Clean up your act.
Sweep your lives clean of your evil doings
so I don't have to look at them any longer.
Say no to wrong.
Learn to do good.
Work for justice.
Help the down-and-out.
Stand up for the homeless.

Once upon a minute there was a tree called a Blame Tree. It's lofty branches were pointed at all the other trees of the forest. "It's your fault my seedlings don't grow," she shouted!
Some of the other trees pointed back and shouted their own words of needling and blame. Some trees were cut down and still getting blamed even though they were no longer around.
One tree eventually made some sense:
"I was a tree at the very first fall, the fall of you mankind because you wanted it all. I held the fruit you picked that cause you guilt and shame, you wear it now like a mantle, it's become a part of your name. Unable to take it off, you react in fear, pointing fingers of blame.
I was a tree cut down and floated through town on 39 rivers of blood. A Man was made to carry me and all of you upon my sturdy wood. They froze him to my limbs with cold hard steel. I held him like a leaf until he fell from my branches, his last words I remember: 'Please give them second chances."
I hope there is a forest fire in Buffalo that causes the blame trees to be burnt up like chaff so that the seedlings of children are allowed to grow.
Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody.

VIOLENCE & ANGER
Today's Youth With A Purpose Inc. Relationship Mentoring program in the Buffalo Schools tackled anger management. We examined the roots of fear and woundedness that cause people to hurt other people. Hurting people hurt people. What triggers your anger or depressed moods? Can you take a deep breath, walk away, refocus your thoughts to diffuse anger? Can you develop empathy and understand someone's pain and offer compassion instead of returning anger? YES YOU CAN!

1 Samuel 25 The Message
30-31 "When God completes all the goodness he has promised my master and sets you up as prince over Israel, my master will not have this dead weight in his heart, the guilt of an avenging murder. And when God has worked things for good for my master, remember me."

THE HOODIE IS AN EXCUSE
The hoodie issue has become an excuse for adults to hide behind because they have not taught the next generation about compassion.
The adults need to act like the students at the Charter School -
TAKE ACTION!
Instead of focusing on our own faults, it's easier to focus on people villianized by the media. We feel power in numbers as we chant for justice and vengeance while we ignore our own ignorance. Lack of compassion creates stereotypes that give us a false sense of security to hide behind. Pointing fingers of blame create stereo types. I wonder who wore the first hoodie?
Hitler used propaganda against the Jews to create a Holocaust. He blamed Jews for everything so he could rally support for his heinous atrocities. In America we are finding many things to blame for our own lack of compassion. Hoodies, Black people, Hispanic people, White people, sagging pants people, hood people, rich people, poor people, government people, Pastor people, homeless people, etc.
Stop the blame game and take a good look at yourself.
Do you treat EVERYONE with compassion?
It's not whether you wear a hood.
It's not whether you live in the Hood.
IN ALL PEOPLE - LOOK FOR SOMETHING GOOD!
Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody.
